New Volunteer Opportunity
Mrs. Rucker wanted us to let everyone know about a new opportunity for volunteering that has just opened up. We have spots for Robotics coaches. We have 6 TEAMS this year which is amazing but we need parents to help out . So are great and putting it all together or want to learn contact the front desk to sign up.

September attendance awards
The PTSA was very pleased to contribute to the Perfect Attendance Awards given to our teachers who had perfect attendance for the month of September. Thank you again to all our teachers for your hard work and thank you to our PTSA members whose donations and dues help us to give back to our whole school community!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The general committee met this evening and we figured out one big detail about this year's agenda...WE WANT OUR PARENTS! GMS Parents that is
We have several volunteer opportunities and couldn't even begin to cover them all. So if you have the time we need the help.
Brown Bag Volunteers - we need parents to meet to help with the brown bags volunteers meet every Friday at the school at 2:45
We still need Lunch Duty parents and mentors we have times available most days
Drug Abuse Awareness week begins on Oct 26-30 so we need 3-4 parents to help out with the week's events
and
We need about 15 volunteers to for the fundraising distribution of orders on Oct 21 and 22 beginning at noon.
To volunteer for any of these please contact the school and they will take your name down.
The Dance- A - thon committee is forming. While we have several parents who are signed up to help we need Student Committee members. If your child is interested in helping out please email us at gmseaglesptsa@gmail.com
Also the Makers Space is developing in the library and we are looking for student leaders to work on this committee. This is a great leadership opportunity and a great place to show their creativity.
Finally, remember that our Reflections deadline is October 17th. Please encourage your child to express themselves in this annual event. Contact Emily Ray if you need more details.

Back To School Night Meeting
A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped to make our Back To School Dance a success.
Our first general PTSA meeting will take place Thursday, September 17th at 5:30pm.
Parents please join us in the auditorium for a 30 minute meeting. This is right before Back To School Night events occur.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!
If you have not yet signed up for membership or gotten your calendar then we will have a table set up to do so all evening.

We enjoyed meeting all the new GMS parents at Business Night. Thank you to all the parents and kids who stopped by to join the PTSA.

Eagle Evolution Parents Night/ Business Night
Many thanks to the parents who came out last night for Eagle Evolution Parents Night. We had several people who joined the PTSA last night. Thanks to all of you who signed up for membership and volunteered for PTSA events.
We will have a table on Business Night for anyone who would like to join and/or volunteer. Cost of membership is $5 a person and can be paid by cash, check or credit card. Forms are available at the PTSA table.

Thanks to Volunteers
THANK YOU SO MUCH !
The PTSA would like to thank all of the teachers,students and parents who came out to help at Field Day this year. We all really enjoyed all of the events and just could not have done it without you.
A special thanks goes out to the parents who devoted extra time to cover shifts, donated ice and water on the spot and tents and coolers.
If you made a donation of a cooler or tent and can't find it or haven't picked it up from the school yet, please let Mrs. Potter know if you are having a hard time locating it.
For the parents who weren't able to attend this year, we look forward to seeing you next year be sure to get the dates for the end of year events 2016 at Back to School night.
Have a great summer and see you next year!

FIELD DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
After all the exams and SOLS and up's and down's of the year, it's time to jump up and down, well at least if you are a 6th or 7th grader. Wednesday May 27th but parents....
